"Agu pig" is a pure breed also known as "Ryukyu native pig", but "Agu pig" generally refers to an improved breed of black pig that is a cross between a pure Ryukyu native pig and another pig.Agu pork is very rare because it takes a lot of work to raise them, and only a few are on the market! Our restaurant serves luxurious shabu-shabu made with this rare "Agu pork" at a reasonable price.
